Ramey Syufy

Ramey is a Lebanese-American record producer, music executive, and entrepreneur. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, he developed a love for music at an early age. It wasn’t until the age of 24 that he downloaded his first music creating software and discovered his affinity for music production. Despite having a full time job where he rose in the ranks to Regional Vice President at a nation-wide athletic club company, he still found time to progress his music career. Ramey quickly built a name for himself in the Northern California hip hop scene for running recording sessions out of his house as well as producing for, writing for, and managing various artists. In 2021 he produced records for Billboard charting and platinum recording artist PnB Rock as well as many regional success stories such as Lil Pete and Lil Yee. That next year Ramey quit his corporate job and decided to pursue a career in the music industry full time.
In spring of 2022, Ramey signed a deal with major recording and distribution force, EMPIRE, and began attending and contributing to recording sessions held at their headquarters in San Francisco, California. Inspired by the company's independent success and unique approach to the music industry, Ramey decided to combine his business experience with his passion for music and start his own record label, ThatsXpensive. Today, ThatsXpensive Publishing LLC and ThatsXpensive Records LLC offer deals with flexible terms to artists, producers, and songwriters. In 2023, Ramey established the company headquarters in Corte Madera, CA, containing offices for employees and recording studios for clients. In 2025, the company opened another recording studio location in Los Angeles, CA. As he runs the operations of the company, he continues to produce, engineer, and write for artists. Ramey aims for ThatsXpensive to be a major force in the music publishing and recording industry with plans for physical expansion across the nation.
